Seedbed Incubator applications are now open!

We would like to encourage you to share with your contacts information about a free-of-charge program supporting innovative agri-food startups, EIT Food Seedbed: The pre-accelerator program to drive the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

The program is implemented by EIT Food, a consortium including European companies, research institutes, and universities, organised as part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), part of the European Commission. EIT Food is the largest European initiative supporting innovations in the agri-food sector. EIT Food programs are co-financed by the European Union as part of the Horizon Europe program.

EIT Food Seedbed supports aspiring entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial academics, and newly formed startups presenting one of EIT Food's Focus Areas, listed below:

-Sustainable Agriculture

-Alternative Proteins

-Digital Traceability

-Circular Food Systems

-Targeted Nutrition

The beneficiaries will gain expert support (training and mentoring) and financial support (up to €6,000 to facilitate market testing activities and to speak to 100+ potential customers, stakeholders, and end-users to validate business ideas; plus the opportunity to access follow-on EIT Food funding and suport.

The program is run in the English language in five European hubs: in Poland, Northern Ireland, Germany, Spain, and Denmark.

Register now at: https://entrepreneurship.eitfood.eu/launch/

Applications close on 28th February 2022.

More information about our programs you can find in the attached presentations.

Applicants should present an innovative idea, which has the potential to make a big impact on any part of the food sector including the way we produce, deliver, consume and recycle our food. Apart from typical agri-food solutions, start-ups may also operate in fields related to the food system, including machines and equipment for agriculture and food manufacturing, logistics, packaging, ICT solutions, food waste reduction, business services, or social innovations. The program addresses idea holders and early-stage startups. We particularly encourage those, whose business idea is connected with their technological research, and it’s further development requires specialist business skills and contacts with potential customers in various European countries.

We would appreciate your help in spreading the word about the program.
